Office 365 Business Essentials Setup, which includes email and calendaring (Exchange Online); online meetings, instant messaging and video conferencing (Lync Online); team sites (SharePoint Online); 1 TB of free OneDrive for Business cloud storage, and Yammer enterprise social-networking support. It doesn’t include any downloadable Office apps. It will cost $5 per user per month, or $60 per year.

Office 365 Business Essentials Setup : Every business needs a handful of tools : email, calendar, live chat, to-do lists, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and file sharing. There’s a wide range of software for each of those categories—or for most of them, you could just install Office and take care of everything at once.

Today, every Office app—from Word, Excel, and the other applications you install on your PC to Exchange, Sharepoint, and other server-based tools—is part of Office 365 Setup. The core features work from your browser, and for everything else, you can still install traditional Office apps on your Mac and PC. It also includes new mobile apps for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook on the go.

At just $5 per user per month, the Essentials plan offers just that. From email to online meetings to file storage, this option covers the essential online services of Office 365 Setup. In addition, you have access to Team Sites via SharePoint to enable easy access and sharing of critical business documents.

The key feature excluded from this option is fully installed Office applications. For customers that already have an updated version of the Office applications installed or are satisfied with the online versions of them, this may be the option for you. Also, if you have distribution email boxes you need to consider adding, instead of purchasing one of the more expensive Office 365 plans, Business Essentials has got you covered.

The core Office 365 Setup plans (Business Essentials and Business Premium) both include email, calendar, sites, and other features you’d expect from Exchange and Sharepoint. These options let you add your own domain names to Office 365 Setup to manage your email and calendars professionally.

You can check email and add events online in the Outlook Online interface, or sync them to Outlook on your computer or any other Exchange, IMAP, or POP3 compatible email tools.

Office 365 Setup includes advanced online tools, too, so you can send vacation replies, sort email automatically, schedule appointments based on when your Outlook calendar has free time, and more.

The new Clutter tool can be especially handy: it watches your inbox for new email messages that aren’t likely important to you, and moves them to a separate folder to help you focus on the most important email messages.

Microsoft offers a 99.9% uptime service level agreement and notes that security is constantly monitored — and includes five layers. Administrators can add and remove users in minutes, and don’t need to worry about updates or upgrades — those are included.

Office 365 Business Essentials Setup is Microsoft’s suite of business productivity tools for small to midsize businesses with 300 or fewer employees. You can pay $5 per user per month if you make a year-long commitment or you can pay $6 per user per month with just a monthly commitment.

Scalability Limits

With the Business Essentials plan, you may run into a couple of major scalability issues as an enterprise organization. First, you will only be allowed to license up to 300 users, so if you have more than that currently or plan to soon, you’ll need to ditch the Essentials options. In addition, if you plan on scaling SharePoint extensively, with the Office 365 Essentials Setup plans you will only be allotted up to 20 website collections, while with an Office 365 E1 subscription you can have up to 500K website collections. Essentially, you will need to plan for scalability very carefully if you choose Office 365 Business Essentials.

Each user can install Office 365 Business Essentials on up to five phones and five tablets, making it great for working whenever you want, wherever you are. However, there is no desktop application. This plan is the 100% “online” version of Office 365, so you’ll need internet access to use it.

Office 365 Business Essentials Setup does not allow you to install the Office 365 applications on your PC, but it does provide you with an email service. This is the 100% “online” version of Office 365.

This Office 365 Business Essentials Open License also includes the online versions of all your favorite Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote for professional document creation.
